Nails

We offer a full professional nail cutting service - we understand that some people struggle to cut their own nails, perhaps due to mobility problems or due to conditions of the nail which have caused them to become thickened and unmanageable, this could be due to a fungal infection, trauma or pressure caused by ill-fitting footwear. We use a nail drill to reduce thickness and achieve a more natural look.

Callus (Hard Skin)

A very common complaint (caused by pressure), which can be painful. Diabetics who suffer from callus should have regular treatments, because of the risk of reduced sensation. It is vital to reduce the risk of ulceration of the tissues on the foot - debridement of callus is key to this.

Corns

A corn is a small, hard, conical structure that forms within the skin, due to pressure. They can cause a lot of pain. Common locations for corns to form are on the tops of toes, or on the "ball" of the foot. Treatment provides instant relief as corns can be removed immediately using a scalpel technique, and the procedure is generally pain-free.

Ingrown Toenails

An ingrown toenail occurs when the edge of your toenail grows into the surrounding skin. The big toes are most likely to be affected. They are common, particularly in young adults and those who play sports, and can also occur due to cutting the nail incorrectly. They can cause a great deal of pain and can become infected if not treated.

Verrucae

A wart on the sole of your foot is called a verruca. All verrucae are caused by the human papilloma virus. They are usually contracted in communal areas such as swimming pools, changing rooms and showers, and are very common in childhood. Your body will usually fight off the virus itself eventually, but this could take years. If the verrucae causes you pain or distress, we can try certain methods to help your body recognise the problem, and speed up the healing process. Due to the nature of verrucae, there can be no guarantee that a particular treatment will be successful.
